Report from Milano Unica 6-7-8 September 2016

This edition of Milano Unica was undoubtedly characterized by the new location of Milano-Rho in spite of the traditional Fiera Milano City, element that has created some curiosity between the operators. Our first concern primarily involved the possible dispersion of the visitors, given the greater space of the exhibition in an appointment that, over the years, has unfortunately been affected by a significant drop in the attendance. The decision taken by the operators has therefore been to focus the exhibitors in four sectors only, thus giving the feeling, for those who came from the large parking, that the fair was actually semi-deserted. Another element of great concern was the decision to limit the access with invitations, probably with the intent to keep out anyone who was not actually a possible “buyer”, at least we believe that these was the intentions of the organizers. As one of our partner in the company is a member of the Foundation Industries Cotton Linen, we had no trouble in getting the pass entrance, but we believe that this decision has further reduced the attendance. The pavilions have been set up with care even if , some exhibitors , were complaining about the difficulty of being achieved by the historical customers, accustomed to the old location and the old mapping . Finally, it is a reason of confusion and perplexity, the timing behind two other related and similar events (Monaco and Paris ), which undoubtedly intercept most interest , for quality and consistency , of the industry operators .
